A close look at the global limited edition Mercedes-Maybach S680 with only 150 units produced.

The Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Edition was recently introduced at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show.

Launched in April 2022, the Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Edition is the result of a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and fashion designer Virgil Abloh.

This special edition is inspired by the “Project MAYBACH” off-road concept car that was introduced at the end of 2021, which was also created by Virgil Abloh.

Similar to the concept car, the Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Edition features a two-tone paint finish in beige gold and Obsidian Black, with a glossy black exterior trim.

The exterior of this luxury sedan still carries the unique design elements of the Mercedes-Maybach line, such as the 27-slat radiator grille and Maybach emblem on the C-pillar…

The Mercedes-Maybach S680 is equipped with the Digital Light high-end headlight system with dozens of safety and convenience features for the driver.

However, to preserve the off-road spirit of the “Project MAYBACH” concept, the front air dam is kept black instead of being finished in shiny chrome.

The car is fitted with the signature 5-spoke 20-inch wheels of the Mercedes-Maybach line, with the surface painted in the same color as the exterior.

All seats in the car are upholstered in premium Nappa leather in sand gold color. The center armrest is made of Piano lacquered wood with Maybach and Virgil Abloh logos engraved on it.

Under the hood of the Mercedes-Maybach S680 is still the 6.0L V12 engine integrated with EQ Boost technology, producing a maximum power of 612 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque.

Combined with the 9-speed automatic 9G-Tronic transmission, this sedan, weighing over 2.3 tons, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before reaching a limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Only 150 units will be produced, with only 39 units allocated for the U.S market.
