The Bugatti Bolide supercar is entering the testing phase
The Bugatti Bolide model is undergoing performance testing before being delivered in 2024.
The Bolide was introduced by Bugatti for the first time in October 2020. After nearly 3 years of development, the Bolide is entering its final testing stages.
Compared to the concept version, the Bugatti Bolide has undergone numerous design changes to optimize its performance, especially with the use of the massive 8.0L W16 engine.
The front aerodynamic splitter is one of the important aerodynamic elements, ensuring optimal performance on the racetrack. The mechanical rearview mirror is used instead of the camera technology in the concept version, allowing for faster estimation of distances to other vehicles.
The precise design of the rear wing cluster on the Bolide allows this mechanism to adapt to the characteristics of different types of racetracks.
The independent 4-exhaust system has been replaced by a 3D-printed dual titanium exhaust cluster. The Bolide is equipped with standard Michelin racing tires used in LMDh models competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The Bugatti Bolide still features the powerful 8.0L W16 engine producing 1,600 horsepower. The car can corner with accelerations of up to 2.5 G and exerts nearly 3 tons of downforce on the road.
The use of lightweight materials helps optimize the weight, reducing it to only 1,450 kg. The Bolide is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds with a top speed exceeding 501 km/h.
Virtual reality simulations have been carried out on famous racetracks worldwide, assisting Bugatti engineers in fine-tuning the Bolide closer to the physical limits of the car.
Bugatti Bolide will be delivered to customers in 2024. Only 40 limited-edition units will be produced, with a price tag of $4 million, equivalent to over $4.3 million.
