The Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach stands out with its unique color combination

Recently, an owner of the Porsche 918 Spyder made the decision to upgrade its exterior by applying a color scheme inspired by the 1995 Volkswagen Polo Harlekin.

This choice originated from an advertisement for the Volkswagen Beetle series, which was approved by Ferdinand Piech, the chairman of the Volkswagen Group at that time.

Specifically, the Polo Harlekin model offers five different exterior options with four main colors: Flash Red, Ginster Yellow, Pistachio Green, and Chagall Blue.

This distinctive color scheme has also been adopted by modern sports car models, especially those under the Volkswagen Group’s subsidiary brands like Audi and Porsche.

Furthermore, the supercar is equipped with the Weissach Package, which includes lightweight magnesium alloy wheels from BBS, a newly designed rear diffuser, windscreen border, roof, rear wing, and carbon fiber mirror caps.

Moreover, the interior of the car has been upgraded with Alcantara material replacing the premium leather. The total value of this option is approximately $84,000 in the U.S. market.

At the heart of the Porsche 918 Spyder lies a naturally aspirated 4.6L V8 engine, delivering a powerful output of 608 horsepower. Combined with two electric motors, this supercar achieves a maximum combined output of 887 horsepower.

The powertrain is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. The Porsche 918 Spyder accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and achieves a top speed of over 345 km/h.

Only 918 units of the Porsche 918 Spyder were produced, with a price tag of approximately $845,000 at its launch in 2013. Currently, the resale price of this supercar ranges from $1.5 million to as high as $2 million, depending on the specific variant.
