A sedan is defined as a four-door passenger car with a trunk separate from the passengers, with three boxes: the engine, the passenger area, and the trunk. A sedan has been defined the same for generations. Historically, the term "limousine" can be found as early as the 17th century, when it was used to refer to an enclosed chair supported on a pole. This unique mode of transportation is exclusive to the privileged, who have the opportunity to be treated in luxury in France. The chair is carried on poles by two operators and is known as the "saloon chair". The most popular models in this category are Honda City 4th Generation, Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Verna, and the top brands are Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Renault, Mahindra and Kia.
