Hyundai Elantra 2024 reveals impressive design

The mid-cycle upgrade of the Hyundai Elantra 2024, a C-segment sedan model in South Korea, will feature a redesigned exterior and the option of ICE or hybrid powertrains.

Hyundai unveils latest images of the Elantra 2024 on its domestic website, where the C-segment sedan is known as Avante. According to Korean media, the Elantra 2024 is a mid-life facelift of the seventh-generation model, with most of the changes concentrated on the exterior design.

The exterior of the Elantra 2024 has been redesigned with a sporty and muscular look, mainly focused on the front of the car. The new headlight cluster is horizontally arranged and connected to each other by a decorative bar. The grille is narrower and separated from the air intake below, while the sportier fake air vents on both sides are decorated with black finishing. The taillights remain the same as the current model, except for the more aggressive and sporty rear bumper with a U-shaped design.

The interior of the Elantra 2024 does not see many changes, as the Korean automaker keeps the digital cockpit with two 10.25-inch displays on the dashboard. The updates can be found in a few new green upholstery options on the seats, the center console, and the door trims.

The design of the Elantra 2024 was unveiled by Hyundai a few weeks ago. The highlight at the front is the slim main headlight cluster design, with the position light DRL strip connected by a bright metal strip.

The new Hyundai Elantra comes equipped with a rearview mirror-mounted dashcam. The C-segment car also features a new function that allows drivers to unlock the car using their smartphone or smartwatch.

The rear end is designed with sharp angles, and the taillights are connected to each other. The car name is placed in the center instead of on one side, which is a design trend that is becoming increasingly popular in many car models today.

The cabin of the Elantra 2024 doesn’t have many changes in terms of layout compared to the previous generation. The easiest difference to notice is the new steering wheel, replacing the familiar 3-spoke design. Hyundai also upgraded the front windshield of the car to a two-layered type that provides better sound insulation.

The air conditioning system on the Elantra 2024 now has the After-Blow function which was introduced by Hyundai in 2020. The air conditioning fan will continue to blow for an additional 10 minutes after the engine is turned off, helping to evaporate any condensation inside the cabin and prevent mold growth.

Hyundai Korea offers customers buying the new Elantra two engine options: a 1.6L naturally aspirated gasoline engine (121 horsepower, 154 Nm) or a 1.6 LPi gas engine (118.3 horsepower, 152 Nm).

Hyundai Elantra is sold in 3 versions (Smart, Modern, Inspiration) and 9 paint color options in the Korean market. The starting price for this compact car model is 15,367 USD, which is more expensive than 25,000 USD.

According to Carscoops, the technical specifications of the Elantra 2024 will be announced later because this is just a preview of the design. The facelifted Elantra will have a choice of hybrid or internal combustion engine (ICE), while the N-Line and N sport versions will focus on performance. The Korean automaker has not announced the official launch date of the Elantra 2024.
