Details Lamborghini Temerario – supercar to replace Huracan
The Lamborghini Temerario no longer uses a naturally aspirated V10 engine but is replaced by a twin-turbo hybrid V8 engine.
After a long wait, the Lamborghini Temerario has been officially introduced to global speed enthusiasts, the perfect addition to the brand’s all-new hybrid range, alongside the Revuelto and Urus SE.
This is the second supercar in Lamborghini’s high-performance electrification (HPEV) product range after the Revuelto. In Italian, “Temerario” means “reckless”.
At the time of launch, the Temerario was introduced with 2 standard variants and Alleggerita, in addition to 2 new paint colors, Blu Marinus blue and Verde Mercurius green.
In terms of design, the Lamborghini Temerario is a combination of the Revuelto and the compact size of the Huracan. The car measures 4,706 x 1,996 x 1,201 mm, which is 247 mm longer than the Huracan LP 610-4, 72 mm wider and 36 mm taller.
The all-new spatial structure chassis is made of aluminum alloy to help optimize the interior. The wheelbase of this supercar reaches 2,658 mm, which is 38 mm longer than the previous generation.
The LED daytime light strip has now been separated from the front light cluster, taking on a characteristic hexagonal shape. This motif is also applied by Lamborghini in many other locations.
The Lamborghini Temerario has 20-inch wheels on the front wheels and 21 inches on the rear axles, with Carbon Ceramic Brakes Plus brake discs measuring 410 mm at the front axle and 390 mm at the rear axle.
Similar to the Revuelto, the engine compartment of the car is no longer placed behind protective glass or synthetic materials, but directly shows off the powerful design.
The side of the car owns many strong cut details with hexagonal pattern air intakes. This aerodynamic design is reminiscent of the Lamborghini Aventador supercar.
This area adds many air slots to help optimize the flow of air moving through this location. The Huracan’s dual exhaust assemblies are now replaced by a hexagonal and high-mounted single-shaped structure like the V12 hybrid supercar.
The LED taillight cluster is now streamlined with a hexagonal pattern. The bright spots inside this detail take on the brand’s familiar Ypsilon shape.
The interior of the Lamborghini Temerario continues the “feel like a pilot” design philosophy that is being applied on the Revuelto and Urus SE, including a 12.3-inch taplo instrument panel, an 8.4-inch center screen, and a 9.1-inch side seat screen.
Thanks to the new chassis, the ceiling has been increased by 34 mm, the legroom has increased by 46 mm, and the visibility has increased by 4.8 degrees. Lamborghini says customers up to 200 centimeters tall can still use the car comfortably, even when wearing a helmet.
Electrically adjustable sports seats are standard, with the option of carbon fiber racing seats to help optimize the seating position of the driver and passengers when moving at high speeds.
Lamborghini also introduced the Alleggerita upgrade package for the Temerario, which includes many new aerodynamic exterior details in carbon fiber, which reduces the weight of the car by about 25 kg.
The most obvious change of the Lamborghini Temerario is the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine block, which has a maximum power of 800 horsepower and a maximum torque of 730 Nm.
Included are 3 electric motors with a capacity of 100 kW each: 2 located on the front axle with an efficiency of 220 kW and 2,150 Nm of torque. 1 electric motor located in a twin-turbo V8 mechanism helps to provide 300 Nm of torque continuously.
In addition, the car is also provided with a 3.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack, 13 driving modes, a 4-wheel drive system and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The dry weight of the vehicle reached 1,690 kg.
With these upgrades, the Lamborghini Temerario is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 343 km/h.
The Lamborghini Temerario will be on display as part of Monterey Car Week 2024 and could be handed over in early 2025. The price of this hybrid supercar has not yet been announced.
