BMW XM Label Red limited to a production run of 500 units
The high-performance version of the BMW XM hybrid SUV model has been introduced with an impressive design and superior specifications.
The BMW XM Label Red has been officially unveiled to the speed enthusiasts. This hybrid SUV model features a distinctive style and upgraded performance.
With a total output of up to 748 horsepower, the XM Label Red is the most powerful BMW SUV and BMW M ever produced. This vehicle is also the first project developed entirely independently by BMW M since the legendary BMW M1 in 1978.
True to its name, exterior trim details are crafted with Toronto Red pattern, such as window borders, XM logo borders, and radiator grille borders.
The XM Label Red offers over 50 BMW Individual paint colors. The BMW Individual Frozen Carbon Black matte exterior option is only produced in very limited quantities.
The BMW XM Label Red comes standard with unique 21-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. Similarly to the exterior, this detail is adorned with red pattern.
The rear of the vehicle does not have much difference. The XM Label Red sports exhaust system features an electric control mechanism to adjust the volume according to the driver’s needs.
The BMW XM Label Red still retains the design language available on the standard XM line, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch curved center screen, M multifunction seats, footrests, and M sport steering wheel…
Similar to the exterior, the seats on the XM Label Red are contrasted with red and black, accompanied by red decorative stitching and XM logo on the headrest.
The highlight of the XM Label Red is the carbon fiber trim, mixed with unique red and blue hues. The “XM 1/500” lettering is placed below the center touchscreen.
The M Lounge high-end compartment includes many amenities such as backrest pillows and premium Merino leather seats, a 3D patterned ceiling, 100 LED lights…
The car is also equipped with a standard 4-zone independent air conditioning system, Harman Kardon Surround sound system. Customers can upgrade to the premium Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround sound system with a power of 1,475 W.
The BMW XM Label Red is still equipped with the M HYBRID engine system similar to the standard XM version, including a V8 combustion engine and an electric motor.
The 4.4L M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine of the Label Red version produces a power output of 585 horsepower and a torque of 750 Nm, about 100 Nm higher than the standard version.
The electric motor is directly integrated into the 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox, producing a maximum power output of 197 horsepower and a maximum torque of 280 Nm.
Therefore, the BMW XM Label Red has a total power output of up to 748 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm. This figure exceeds the standard version by 95 horsepower and 200 Nm.
With these features, the BMW XM Label Red can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed limit of 250 km/h. With the M Driver’s Package upgrade, this number reaches 290 km/h.
With the 5th generation BMW eDrive technology, the 25.7 kWh electric battery allows the XM Label Red to travel about 75-83 km in one charging cycle, with a maximum speed of up to 140 km/h when using pure electric driving mode.
The XM’s charging system supports a power output of up to 7.4 kW, allowing the lithium-ion battery to be fully charged from 0% to 100% in 4 hours and 15 minutes.
To optimize the driving experience, this full-size SUV is also equipped with a multi-mode M xDrive 4-wheel drive system, an M Sport electronic differential on the rear axle, an M Professional adaptive suspension system with Active Roll Comfort, Integral Active Steering rear-wheel steering function, and M Sport brake system…
The BMW XM Label Red will be assembled at the BMW Spartanburg plant from August 2023. This model will be officially unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show next week.
The official price of the XM Label Red has not been announced, although BMW previously stated that this figure will be around $185,000, which is about $26,000 higher than the standard XM version.
